The Missing by Kiersten Modglin: A Spoiler Free Review
Hello lovely people!
I know, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve written a real blog post. Sometimes I’m just not feeling it. But when the opportunity presented itself to read an ARC (advanced reader copy) from one of my favorite authors, I just had to shoot my shot!
Kiersten Modglin was first recommended to me by one of my besties. We typically enjoy the same style books and she was like “You have to read these!” for literally all of Kiersten’s books. (Can I call you Kiersten?) Social media makes things weird, I feel like she won’t mind.
Let me just get straight to the point. If you are into suspenseful chick lit with an edge and the most bizarre/amazing plot twists ever, Kiersten is your girl! The Missing had me intrigued from page one, and by chapter 4, I was stressed out and anxious simultaneously. It was then that I decided that I’d just be up all night, because I needed answers.
“Sometimes the truth lies in the quiet moments, in the first thoughts, the answer that pops into our heads before we have time to tamp down the intuition that we so often do, because it’s easier than admitting the truth.”- Excerpt from The Missing by Kiersten Modglin
I’m usually pretty good at guessing major plot points before they happen, but not this time. I hope y’all check this one out, she has a plethora of books that are just as good! I don’t know how she does it, but it works, I’m hooked, and I can’t wait for her next book. Click here to get your copy!
